On dash, on dancer......

Isn't this little "Dasher" stamp the cutest thing? You can find it at the back of the catalogue in the "Under $12" section. Cute!
It's hard to see here, but we also used the new "Shimmer Paint" to give the card a little shimmer 'n shine!

Thank You Card

This was made using the "Priceless" stamp set and the elegantly beautiful, foiled paper, from the "Bride" pack (found in the catalogue with the "Specialty" papers).
These cards were made for a bride and groom to use as their thank you cards, but they could be used for any situation.

Here is another card using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and Butterfly punch. The clear butterflies on the outside were made by stamping with Versamark and then apply Heat + Stick powder and then Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It doesn't show up very well here in the photo, but they were really nice and sparkly!

Have you tried out the Butterfly punch yet?

You can really come up with some cute ideas when you pair up the Butterfly punch with the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set!

Of course, you don't have to have the punch and can just cut them out by hand, but the punch sure does make it easier!

Birthday Card for a little boy!

It seems all little boys love trucks, don't they? Here is a cute card that works great for your little (and even big!) boy on their birthday. It uses the popular "Loads of Love" stamp set as well as the "Canvas" background stamp.

Birthday Card...

Here a elegant birthday card. I just love the Baroque Motifs stamp set simple, yet that was used for this.

Autumn Days!

Here is a nice autumn card made using the new "Autumn Days" stamp set. We used some of the wheat sprigs to 'fluff' up his tail a little and add some colour.
We used yellow cardstock and then masked off an oval shape, and then sponged on 3 or 4 colours around the outside. When you remove the mask, it makes and instant frame around your image.

Here, in this part of Canada, our highschool graduations are held in the fall. That way, the grads who have moved on to college or university can come back and find out how each other is doing. A homecoming of sorts!

In celebration of that, here is a graduation card made using the "Great Grads" stamp set. This is a GREAT set with lots of fun graduation themed stamps in it.

Here is a simple but pretty card for you.
The big flower on here might look like a stamped image, but it is actually cut from one of Stampin Up's printed papers. A coordinating sheet from the same pack was used for the rectangle, a few background swirls and the sentiments stamped, and then a rhinestone brad to finish it off, and you're done!

This is a great way to get the fullest use out of your printed papers and make your images 'pop' off the page...and best of all, everything matches perfectly!

Faux Leather Technique

Here are a couple cards made using the "Faux Leather" technique.
You just tear off little pieces of masking tape and stick them all over your cardstock, sponge on 2 or 3 colours of ink (gives more dimension when you use more than one colour), cover the whole area generously with Versamark ink, and then emboss with clear embossing powder.
GREAT effect and it works especially well for masculine cards!

Here is a 'summery' little card...LOVE those colours...but especially love the Eyelet Border Punch! It just adds that extra little touch of lace to this card.

Summer by the Sea

Here are a couple cards made using Stampin Up's now discontinued "Summer by the Sea" set (loved that set!), but the technique can easily be used with any stamps. The effect does work especially well with the 'line drawing' type images like this though.

Remember: Stamping is not just for cards!

Here is yet another example using the Fifth Avenue Floral, this time on a scrapbook page!

Fifth Avenue Floral

I just LOVE the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. The images are gorgeous and it is so simple yet versatile. Take a look at these cards we made during Card Club (as well as the 2nd and 3rd ones which were made by my friend, Jan Garrett). All use this same set but each one has a completely different look or 'feel' depending on the technique that was used...

Deal of the Week: Week 3- Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware

This week's deal of the week (July 20-26th) is the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware at 30% off!

In a hurry and need a quick card?

If you're ever in a hurry and need a quick yet beautiful card (only you know how little time it took to make it!), Stampin Up's line of "Notes" notecards, a background stamp, and a punch come to the rescue!

These little notecards come in a pack of 15 and are already pre-cut with the design on the front. The one we used here is called "Fresh Cuts" but there are 2 other sets available as well. All you have to do is grab a background stamp (here we used the "Bella Toile" background stamp), the 5-Petal Flower Punch, and decorate it however you wish, and within a few minutes you have a beautiful card!

Here is a card we made using the "Pocket Silhouettes" stamp set. I really miss that Baja Breeze paper from the previous line of In Colours....but I also LOVE the new In Colours as well!

Dormant List

The new "dormant list" is available! This list contains stamps that are not shown in any of Stampin Up!'s current catalogues, but are still available for sale.

The new In Colours!

Here is a sneak peek at the new In Colours. Aren't they wonderful? The girls at my Stampin Club just loved them! (click on them to see a larger view)

It's a Girl!

Doesn't the eyelet border punch add just the right touch to a card? Love it!

A couple cards that would work great for a man as well...

Here are a couple of cards made by my friend, Jan Garrett. The first one uses the
"Loads of Love" stamp set as well as the "Canvas" background stamp. The BBQ one also uses the "Canvas" background stamp and was based on an idea she saw on splitcoaststampers. I know it was used as a Father's Day card, but it will work for any occasion for that "outdoor chef" in your life!
Happy Stamping!

Have you tried out the "Pretties Kit" yet?

The little half pearls found in the Pretties Kit added that extra special touch to this card! This kit has so many little goodies in it: white and cream half pearls, white and cream round pearls, 2 styles of clear round beads, clear teardrops, clear rhinestones, hat pins, spacer beads, and gorgeous white flowers that you can use either Stampin Pastels, Watercolour Wonder Crayons, or classic ink (or Stampin Markers) to dye them to perfectly coordinate your cards.
Happy Stampin!

Another idea for Father's Day...

With Father's Day fast approaching, I thought I would post another idea for a Father's Day card. We made this as a birthday card, but it would work for any occasion.
Happy Stamping!
