Tri-Shutter Card

Here is a neat technique for you to try, called the "Tri-Shutter" card! It looks complicated...but is actually VERY easy to do. The ladies at our Card Club were fascinated by it...the options are endless!
If you would like to make your own, here is a link to a tutorial on how to do so.

Don't all little boys love lions and bugs and dinosaurs?

Here is a cute card made using the now retired "Wild About You" set that can easily be switched out for any of the 'bugs' or 'animals' sets....you know, all those lovely critters little boys just adore!

Some examples of other sets you could use are "Hoppy for You", "Look Who's Turning", "Animal Stories", and "Bugs & Kisses". They all include cute images of frogs, hippopotamus, elephants, caterpillars, and worms. Oh my!

Here is a simple but pretty card for you.
The big flower on here might look like a stamped image, but it is actually cut from one of Stampin Up's printed papers. A coordinating sheet from the same pack was used for the rectangle, a few background swirls and the sentiments stamped, and then a rhinestone brad to finish it off, and you're done!

This is a great way to get the fullest use out of your printed papers and make your images 'pop' off the page...and best of all, everything matches perfectly!

Faux Leather Technique

Here are a couple cards made using the "Faux Leather" technique.
You just tear off little pieces of masking tape and stick them all over your cardstock, sponge on 2 or 3 colours of ink (gives more dimension when you use more than one colour), cover the whole area generously with Versamark ink, and then emboss with clear embossing powder.
GREAT effect and it works especially well for masculine cards!

Here is a 'summery' little card...LOVE those colours...but especially love the Eyelet Border Punch! It just adds that extra little touch of lace to this card.
